Parking Lot & Street Sweeping- Although mainly for aesthetic purposes, street and parking lot sweeping are also performed for practical purposes. Sweeping helps ensure proper drainage and makes inspection and maintenance of roads and parking lots easier. For example, sweeping provides a clean surface for activities such as line striping or crack sealing and aids in maintaining proper roadway traction. We use backpack blowers to remove debris from areas inaccessible to the sweeper; the debris is then vacuumed from the pavement and held in the hopper. A pressurized water system is used to reduce dust from the sweeping process. The debris is dumped into a dumpster and hauled to the local waste facility.
